How many times have you been dealt a monster hand only to completely miss the flop?

You fold.

But on the next hand, you would have flopped the nuts with the hole cards from the last hand.

We call this flop lag.

A friend of mine had the novel idea to institute a Flop Lag Jackpot in every cardroom in the world.

The premise is simple: if the next flop gives you the best hand from the last hand’s hole cards, you win.

Given a choice between a Flop Lag Jackpot and a Bad Beat Jackpot, I will take the Flop Lag variety. It is a winner!
